The 1957-Chevy meme is pretty good, it’s really a Fourth-Generation Chevy Camaro with either some pretty good Photoshop, or a body kit to make it appear as a 1957-Chevy Bel Air. The starter pack meme is a generalization to the community of Dad’s who own Camaro’s; many of the Dads that fit this starter pack usually do wear cargo shorts, sandals and shades, while cruising along to some Led Zeppelin or listening to Howard Stern. The Illogical Engine meme is a good one too, just because car-guys shouldn’t do it, they’ll do it anyways; so we can observe the absolute monstrosity of an engine that creator submitted.

Patrick Davidson describes meme “ideals” as “the concept or idea being conveyed; the ideal dictates the behavior, which in turn creates the manifestation. If the manifestation is a funny image of a cat and the behavior is using software to make it, then the ideal is something like ‘cats are funny.’

I found the ideal of the first meme to be an attempt at humor within a determined car-guy’s project car.

The second meme’s ideal is geared more towards a generalization of the older generation of car guys, most of them continue to wear cargo shorts, sandals and shades.

The third meme’s ideal focuses on the idea that after any change to a car, it’s always done because race car.

Only one of these meme’s manifested from Reddit, while the other two memes were directly posted to they Know Your Meme database, many of these car-specific memes are spread far and wide through the Instagram platform and other media-rich messaging services.

Hey Listeners! Here’s a podcast I created with my good friend John, he’s been a fan of all things cars his whole life. We’re both in the middle of some crazy car builds, he’s working on a Firebird and my project is a Camaro. While my project is using a 383 stroker and his Firebird boasts an LS!

Camaro Trim Packages

Sport Coupe or Rally Sport

The Sport Coupe model was considered the Base-Model for the Third Generation Camaro’s. Initially offering a whopping 151 cubic inch four-cylinder motor, the 173 cubic inch V6 and 305 cubic inch V8 were optional performance upgrades.

Berlinetta

The Berlinetta model was aimed at the luxury buyers, this model came standard with a softer suspension, cloth interior, additional sound-proofing and insulation, and Berlinetta-specific badges or branding. This model was not as successful as the Rally Sport or Z28 models due to the lack of performance from the standard V6 motor.

Z28

The Z28 model offered a much needed boost in the performance department; this model came standard with a 5.0L V8 rated at 145hp, and while that doesn’t sound like a lot of power now, in the 1980’s the Camaro offered the best value per horsepower for consumers. This motor was also given an optional upgrade for Throttle Body Injection which helped produce more horsepower. The iconic IROC-Z trim package was offered as an upgrade to the already significant Z28 model; with it, it brought upgraded suspension, steering braces, a decal package, and the Tuned Port Injection system.

What’s Inside Bill’s Garage?

My website aims to provide information about Third Generation Camaro’s. The Third Generation Camaro was released by Chevrolet with model years from 1982 to 1992. My intended audience for this project is the people that own Chevrolet’s iconic vehicle of the 1980’s, men (and women) who proudly furnish a mullet, and the general public that may be interested in purchasing a used Third Generation Camaro. I plan to cover some topics on maintenance, performance and cleaning. I feel as if I am a great candidate for this opportunity to start a website because of my passion for restoring my first vehicle: a maroon-colored 1991 Camaro RS.
